They better use bow and stern line cause they going to need them. When I used to use bungies a lot with my foam blocks, I always used bow and stern lines. Yes, they were definitely needed both for preventing side-to-side movement and uplift. Now that I have saddles and NRS straps, I've *gasp!* neglected to use the bow and stern lines anymore. The strap/saddle combination seems _way_ more secure than the old bow-stern painter/bungie/belt/suspender/shoelace/dental floss/old extension cord combination.
