sorry about the copyright mistake the 3 paddlers are from this part of the world, and were paddling up cape york from cairns i think. It was to be a Kimberleys paddle but circumstances changed that. The man attacked is an experienced paddler and active in the NSW club. apparently he is fine, has some deep puncture wounds and lacerations to his leg.
