From: GENPAD Maligiaq and Quebec race Date: Sun, 8 Aug 1999 21:44:31 -0400 Message-ID: <19990808.214431.4022.0.GENPAD_at_juno.com> HI EVERYONE For all who are interested, I'm just letting everyone know that Maligiaq finished 7th in the men's solo sea kayak division's 55 kilometer race today for the World Sea Kayaking Championships.. I was misinformed by a race official who assured me that Maligiaq was registered in the "amateur" division - turns out that there was no amateur division this year; they professionals and the amateurs raced together. I'm getting ready to send a "nasty-gram" to the race official and the race director expressing my "displeasure". But for him to have done so well against the pros is great; I'm very proud of him.
