I use individual bow & stern tie downs for up to three kayaks/canoes. The only times I've had more boats than that on top have been for relatively short shuttle runs on basically untrafficed (how's that for a word?) roads. With three bow tie downs there are a lot of lines in the driver's field of view. I feel safer with each boat fastened to the rack and the truck individually......but I'm one of those anal retentive types.<grin> Dave Seng Juneau, Alaska > -----Original Message----- > From: Arthur Hebert [mailto:seacajun_at_gs.net] > Sent: Wednesday, September 01, 1999 6:04 PM > To: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net > Subject: [Paddlewise] Tie Down B/S > > > A question concerning bow and stern tie down to those who car > top multiple > kayaks.
