Thanks, Joe.  I understand this.  I agree an elastic cord would help but
not sure I'd use a bungie cord with hooks.  I've had more than a couple fail 
on me and don't think I'd like to be whacked on the leg by one :-)  But I've 
made a large "rubber band" out of the cord by tying two ends together sans 
the hooks and use it for holding my rudder in place during transport.  I
just don't trust those hooks 8-}
