Yes, but probably not in a way that's helpful.  When I took the rudder off my
Sea Lion, I inserted bolts to keep the sliders in place.  I also experimented
with a handmade wooden extension/clamp that joined the two pedals.  Hence, no
movement fore or aft, but not exactly the solution you're looking for, if you
want to keep ruddering.
