I think my mail server ate this the first time. My appologies if this is a duplicate. -----Original Message----- From: Robert Woodard [mailto:woodardr_at_tidalwave.net] Sent: Friday, September 10, 1999 6:09 AM To: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subject: RE: [Paddlewise] Sea Lion Rudder Mods Someone said: > > >my feet off the pegs), and when I went to return to my footing I > > >accidentally hit the back of one of the pegs and sent it > > >sliding toward the stern. Not a good move in waves, of course. If your Sealion will accept Yakima type foot braces, I would HIGHLY recommend calling Seaward Kayaks in Canada and ordering a pair of their rudder pedals. These are standard Yakima rails (locking), but the foot peg has been modified to rotate to control your rudder. Your footbrace stays in place for firm bracing and if you break a cable your foot peg doesn't go shooting towards the bow. I put a pair in my Guillemot and wouldn't trust anything less.
