I wrote last night: "This is the line I used to tow Andrew in the full gale off the Storm Islands for 6 or 7 hours. I would have like a bit shorter tow, especially with his incapacitation." I meant a shorter tow length, say, 30 feet -- though 6 to 7 hours was kind of long, and a "shorter tow" *would* have been nice! I also said: "The tow off the Storm Islands was probably one of the more rougher, dramatic ones in the history of this sport, no exaggeration." This doesn't prove how great I am, rather, just the *opposite*. That I could get myself into a situation like that, is rather sad. However, the event did test some aspects of towing that previously had only been theory to me. Matt will flesh it out in his SK Mag article, I'm sure. Hey, safe paddling everyone. I'm off to Port Townsand.
