I will add to the endorsement of the Pentax WR90. My previous camera died a Gulf-coast death from heat and humidity. WR90 has been going great for several years and quite a few trips. It is frequently in the carrying case it came in, around my neck. Yeah, mostly in a canoe, not my tippy Eddyline Falcon sea kayak. I did have it in the same location in the bow of a tandem sea kayak in Glacier Bay Alaska, and it's made several other Alaskan trips. Years back, REI had a thing called a Kuban hitch (hope I'm spelling this right) so a camera could be positioned on one's chest. One of my friends paddled the Grand Canyon (Colorado River) with a Nikonos camera on this rig, under her life jacket, for the entire length of the paddle in a whitewater kayak. Did just fine and she had great pictures, camera always handy. She paddled every rapid too! 30,000 cfs.
