Here is the word on accomodations, straight from the TAPS symposium orcanizers: "You can register anytime at the event... registration is open from about 8 am on... and there are private dorm rooms available for the event.. (they come breakfast and lunch the following day.. ) and open coed dorm rooms too.. they are larger rooms with a number of bunk beds in them... As for camping.. the park's facilities are full, but there is an overflow camping area that the county operates at the county fair site.. and I think that the camping there is pretty cheap.. I do not have a phone number for them.. but the Port Townsend chamber of commerce through directory assistance may.." There is also Fort Flagler State Park on Maristone, it also has a hostel, from what I understand. It may be 45 minutes away or so. Closer is Old Fort Townsend (?) - I was there and saw a lot of trailers, so I'm not sure what all they have available. Can always browse the www.ptguide.com for other resources.
