If live outside of Canada and buy something in Canada, you are entitled
to sales tax rebates.  Federally, you've been hit with 7% GST.  That
gets refunded from the folks in Ottawa.  The remainder is from the
province you purchased it in and varies in percentage*.  Most provinces
charge around 8%.  That totals the 15% you were quoted.  You have to 
get special forms for the rebates and save your sales receipts.
