.....most psychologists would agree that addressing and greeting unfamiliar
paddle craft  and paddlecraft carriers is a  perfectly acceptable response to
seeing the same on the highways.
    I feel that caution is called for if aforementioned paddlecraft ever audibly
respond to your salutations.
                                                    ....just a thought
