Mine's wide enough to carry my mountain bike, 'yak, and skis, although having time to use all 3 in a single weekend would prove tough. I did combine downhill skiing and kayaking one weekend in April--I did an evening paddle on Lake McDonald in Glacier NP on Friday night, skied the Big Mountain all day Saturday, and did a 3-mile crossing to Wild Horse Island in Flathead Lake (MT) on Sunday.
