I just looked at it. Seems OK. Bear in mind that while Gymnodinium breve
is the usual culprit around here, there are LOTS of other species involved
in HAB's. Fla. has had red tides since at least as far back as 1844, so we
can't blame pollution here. One theory was that red tides occurred when
the freshwater inflow to the Gulf was between certain limits. I don't know
how well that one has checked out. My own interest has been more in
shipping ballast water transfer of foreign species, because of my
involvement in an environmental brouhaha in NW Scotland (proposed major
coastal superquarry in my neighborhood). I'm not a marine biologist. e
