Can't find the paper but I remember the TV news saying they capsized while kayaking on Currituck Sound. Neither was wearing a PFD according to the report. The boat pictured seemed to be a double with a single large open cockpit. Water temperature is in the low 60s and they have given up hope of rescue and are now in recovery mode. Steve Hart was reported to be a strong swimmer but no mention was made of either wearing protective clothing. Take care.
