Hello Paddle Wisers,

This is a post about how I deal with numbness or
soreness in my lower extremities. The last time I dealt
with this issue was at the end of our fifty-one mile
croosing of Lake Superior in July. When my kayak slid
onto the sandy shoreline of Michigan I slid out of my
cockpit and sat on my stern deck while I let my legs
dangle over each side of the kayak. This position
allowed me to stay upright and let my legs stretch out.
Some other crossing members who did not do this ened up
laying in the water after they had fallen down.

Good Paddling,
