Whoops! - Sorry Ralph Diaz, I misread your statement regarding kayak stackers on vehicles. SandyKramer: I would suggest checking out your local sporting goods store in search of kayak hauling accessories, there is lots of new stuff out there. The I Check out roof rack websites - Yakima's did everything for me. BTW The Sweet Roll is a combination platter: rollers under stern /cradles under bow Hully Rollers are 2 pairs of rollers that the boat slides up on. Both are especially nice for paddlers with tall vehicles. I have found various carrier sites to be really educational when pricing and comparing specs needed for various boat/car specifications *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************

I have Yakimas and 4 cradles, recently paid $85 for an extender kit. Is it really worthwhile substituting Hully Rollers or the black pads Ralph mentions? I usually put a blankie on the back of the station wagon (the cradles are still far "inland" from the stern) and slide the boat on that. Even if I had rollers, I'd still have to use the blanket.
