I recently bought a Walrus Aerotarp that measures about 12' x 18'. Got a lot of
use out of it during the last week and was very happy with it. (Since the bugs
were all gone, we decided to try it as a substitute for sleeping in the tent
during a rainy night, which worked out well). There was a recent article on
tarps in Backpacker magazine which you may want to check out, and they gave the
Walrus their top recommendation. Mine was on sale for $99 (normally $132, I
believe) for the tarp and two poles (though I doubt I'll ever use the poles
since they are VERY heavy). One nice feature of the Walrus is they use a
nylon/polyester blend for the fabric, which is more UV resistant and stretches
less than the 100% nylon tarps.
