The problem with letting people not wear pfds or seat belts is that public
monies are spent treating them when they get hurt or peoples lives are risked
rescuing them when they get it trouble.  If one elects to not wear safety gear,
they should also be willing to totally accept the consequences of their
actions.  In the case of a car accident, this means that they will be left by
the side of the road to die.
