Peter,

Does "having half a brain" count? <G> I just joined a kayak club out of
Paulsbo on Tuesday, and have firm intentions to join one down in Gig
Harbor-that will probably be the one that I get active with.

Saturday I got a "quickie" review of my navigation class-so I can finally
read my chart correctly. The first goal is to get my boat and equipment
together. That's tomorrow. Then [betting on weather, etc...] I HOPE to
get back in sea-water on Saturday.

I have decided that until I manage a few self rescues, I will stay in the
harbor...

Based upon my last trip-[Feb? sheesh!] my right is stronger than my left,
and so I will try gripping the paddle a bit more "right of center..."

Because of my poor concept of time, I will place my watch outside my
drysuit. I was not so good at realizing when I had over stressed myself,
resulting in pain when taking deep breaths for about a week as my muscles
got back to normal...<VBG> <shrug>

There is a chance that my [hoped for] trip Saturday, will not be alone-one
of the members of the club I have not yet joined, made a possible offer.

If you would like, I can report what is learned...

		Tom...
