I am a volunteer firefighter as well....we do all our water and ice rescues
with dry suits. With the exception of underwater body recoveries, where we
use full 6 mm wet suits. Our lake temperature may go up to 20 Celsius (
around 68 F) in the summer and of course several feet of ice in the winter.
