Ditto.  Not only is it the definitive resource on building a strip built kayak
It also has one of the best written sections about how hull design
affects stability I've seen.

I'd also add  the following:

"Sea Kayaking:  A Manual for long distance touring"  - John Dowd
"Nigel Fosters Surf Kayaking" - Nigel Foster
"The Bombproof Roll and Beyond" - Paul Dutky
