> I know for sure that there are several books not > yet on it that should be (e.g., Ralph Diaz' book on folding kayaks). > Ralph's book was the first book I ever read on the subject and was impressive for the balance of the technical and the passionate aspects of kayaking. I don't have a foldable(but will soon) and feel that the book does apply to hardshells as well. The second was G. Dyson's book 'Baidarka' which is stylistically different, but leaves as strong an impression. Most of the other books I have used as reference as opposed to reading from cover to cover as these two. -- : : Gabriel L Romeu : http://studiofurniture.com furniture from the workshop : http://members.xoom.com/gabrielR life as a tourist, daily journal : http://users.aol.com/romeugp paintings, photographs, etchings, objects *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Fri Nov 19 1999 - 18:22:35 PST
