If he had clicked the next hot link (below), he would have seen the book's cover and brief summary as well as a foto of the professor who put it on the suggested reading list. If I recall the portriats of Diaz del Castillo correctly, the prof looks an awful lot like the old conquistador himself sans armor helmet and breastplate.
