Bill; You may well have already covered these bases in trying to roll with a sore neck but, just in case you haven't, I thought I would offer a suggestion. If you haven't already done so try a boat that allows you to easily lay back onto the back deck (Romany, Aqilla etc.). By doing a sweep roll and keeping your weight low on the back deck no "head dink" will be necessary and it might well solve your dilemma. I always fight a sore neck.
