I think you're right. I read a while back about one of the latest 
explorers to the artic, and he was telling about having to design a 
redundant feature into the sleeping bags. He tells how they not only lost 
loft during the trip, but gained some unbelievable extra weight, due to 
frozen body mosture.

I guess all this talk about cold weather sleeping is not impressing the 
warm WX crowd. :-)

To the reasons for winter camping list, I'll add: In this part of the 
world atleast, the only man made sounds will be your own.
