You may have seen footage taken aboard a freighter at Valdez Alaska when the
tsunami from the '64 Alaska earthquake struck. I have seen this film and it is
truely frightening!

I found this on the EMC website (educational media at the University of
Washington).

ALASKA EARTHQUAKE

Alaska earthquake and tidal wave at Valdez taken from deck of liberty ship
Chena showing waves hitting shore, washing buildings and debris around.
Camera on board caught actual earth movement. Shows damage at Anchorage,
Turnagain and international airport.
