Hello Listers Does anybody have a Necky Stingray Surf Kayak? I presently have a Necky Groovy and was thinking of getting a Stingray as well. I'm 6' 4" tall, weigh 210 lbs. and wonder how it would work for me, on ocean waves. I've had a lot of bad experiences in obtaining surfing kayaks.... They all work well for folks around 170 lbs. but few work well for heavier paddlers such as myself. Would appreciate any "feed back." If you don't think the topic is of general interest to this list, please write me directly. I've seen the stingray, and sat in it on land. I am 6'2", 32" inseam and size 13 feet, and I thought it was super comfortable. The owner is about 200lbs although not as tall, and he absolutely loves the way it surfs. He <surfer accent> definitely rips in that boat </surfer accent> and I would say that it is one hot design. It seems to really require fins though to prevent skidding out. In my personal, untested opinion, it is a great surf design, and I wish I had one.
