><< I opened an eye and to my horrow saw a LONG line of fire fighters(male >and female), waiting for the cook shack to open it's door! I calmly zipped >up, waved, and walked back into my tent. >> Many years ago I ran the tidal "river" of Boat Passage, which runs between two of our local islands. The excitement had of course backed up my personal bliges, and I gratefully landed on the small park near Winter Harbour. I only just got the drysuit peeled down on time, and was doing a credible imitation of a race horse at rest when, I swear, a troop of Girl Guides emerged onto the beach. I was too far gone to dam the flow, so I smiled weakly and nodded as they marched by giggling. Lucky I wasn't arrested for flashing. I bet that field trip was a bit more educational than Brown Owl (or whatever the leader is called) intended.
