Hi,

Burch's book is EXCELLENT. I originally had his 2nd edition, until one of my
Dobes decided she needed to read a little more about kayaking and
navigation. I then went out and bought a copy of his 3rd edition.

Even though I had read and understood the original book I had--I feel it is
important to have a copy of this book. But then again, I'm still trying to
live down the reputation I earned as a very young infantry officer in the
Army. "The most dangerous thing in the world is a 2nd lieutenant with a map
and a compass. Now I'm a paddler with a map and a compass.

Steve

is anyone familiar with Burch's book 'fundamentals of kayak navigation"? am
looking for a kind of navigation 101 book and haven't been able to find one.
