I know it's a lot to ask but when people reply to a post why do they need to re-post the original?? I receive my PW via the digest and sometimes it gets rather old having to roll over the same old same old. Some newsreaders do it automatically so you may need to go into preferences and change the setting.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

...realizing that I am violating the principle in spirit and letter.....this may help anyway. Simply highlight the passage you would like to quote (for context) with a left click of the mouse and a drag , and press, (mash --if you are south of the Mason Dixon line) 'Central' +C (for clip, I suppose).
Next, on the reply you are concocting press/mash 'Central' + V (for velcro).....and *Wallah*, the quotable snip magically appears on your reply. I know this is leftover tuna for most of you, but I just learned it.

Chris, it took me a couple of seconds to work out what Central was: it's
Control/C to copy and then Control/V to paste. Yeah, I just learned this a
couple of months ago. Great.

In AOL I can just highlight the desired portion and then click "Reply" and it
automatically pastes it into the reply.

The Control/C etc is great for pasting things into other documents or even
for copying those long Internet addresses people are always referring us to.
I use it to paste the address to the top line that says "Type Keyword or Web
Address here and click Go." And yes, "voila" it appears in the right spot.

Sandy Kramer (Gypsykayak the nit-picking writer/proofreader!) :)

My life will be a real hardship for the next week or so (and that's apart
from this 60-70 degree daytime weather - I actually had to wear a blazer to
work yesterday!) they've disconnected our Internet access, presumably as a
security measure.
