This is only valid for the identical hull in two different materials/layups whatever. That's not easy to do with off-the-shelf designs, since there aren't many designs that are offered in both rigid and flexible models. It's too bad that Matt couldn't test the glass and skin versions of the baidarka - that would be interesting to hear about.
