-38, why that's fine paddling weather! Two of us headed out earlier this week in balmy 10F weather. The Mississippi was valiantly trying to maintain liquid form while everything above the waterline turned quickly to glass. Biggest concern is keeping your skirt from freezing to your boat. We did rescue a dog that had jumped on in to Old Man River and couldn't get back out due to the ice shelf (props to Bill for that fancy seal rescue landing).
