My parents have a 98 Odyssey (the smaller one with four "normal" doors) and they love it. The new one is much bigger--bigger even than the best-selling Chrysler. My brother in law needs to make the jump to mini-van land and I've recommended the 97-98 Odyssey to him as well. But don't abandon station wagons if you don't have to. The remodled VW Passat wagon (new in 98, I believe, is a helluva nice car that is a lot easier to get boats on top of. Just because everyone else is "riding high" in SUVs and minivans doesn't mean that you have to, too.
