I've been told you can stick the pump down the tunnel, but I've never been able to pump the water below the top of the seat bottom that way. Difficult position to pump from and quite a bit of water still left in. If the pump port is near the front of the coaming that should allow the pump to reach all the way to the hull. You may need a slightly longer pump.
