I've used the fast cure 5200 and it works very well. The rep at West Marine said there was very little difference. cya -----Original Message----- From: owner-paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net [mailto:owner-paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net]On Behalf Of Robert Woodard Sent: Monday, January 31, 2000 6:49 AM To: LedJube_at_aol.com; PaddleWise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subject: RE: [Paddlewise] 3M 5200 - need advise >How should fresh 5200 look? Feel? Flow? 5200 is about the same consistency of regular caulk. Only much messier. It gets on everything that it touches. It will also take a minimum of 7 days to get to the point where it doesn't get on everything it touches. After applying, spritz it with water once a day or so to facilitate the cure. There is fast curing 5200, but I've never tried it. One last thing: Once a tube of 5200 has been opened, you have to use it all within a few days or toss it away. Hope this helps, Woody *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ *************************************************************************** *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Mon Jan 31 2000 - 09:40:14 PST
