Hello Paddle Wisers, This is a responce to the post from Robert about where he could attach a paddlefloat outrigger to the Romany sea kayak. Robert is right about the Romany having the day hatch cover in the area where most other kayaks have shock cord on the stern deck for placing a paddlefloat outrigger. If you look further astern on the Romany you will notice shockcord in the shape of a V. This shockcord is usewd for holding a second paddle but if you store your spare paddle on your bow deck then this V shaped shockcord can be used for placing a paddlefloat outrigger. The other option would be to go to a marine hardware store and buy eyelets and shockcord for placing shockcord in the usual position. I have done this to a few of the sea kayaks in my fleet for classes.
