Gordon,

I'm no expert on edible indigenous plants but you'll have
no problems on the fishing end of things. Rockfish, lingcod
and halibut (if you can get it in the boat) are all plentiful and
depending on DFO regs for 2000 salmon are starting to run at that
timeof the year. One concern I have doing a trip at that time
of the year is the weather. Fall weather is starting to set in
at that of year with associated fronts moving thru. Your biggest
concern will be getting around the south end of Moresby. This
is the crux move and is totally dependent on weather. Carpenter
Bay and Benjamin Point should be treated with a lot of respect.
As far as food resupply goes, you could arrange a food drop
at Rose Harbour by Moresby Explorers (Sandspit Outfitters)
to take the pressure of food gathering or a prearranged drop
at one of the watchman sites by Moresby Air. If you have any
questions, drop me a line . Julie and I were up there for a month
last july and did a one way trip from moresby camp to rose harbour
with a return via zodiac. I'm sure Dave Kruger will pick up this thread
and have a few pointers for you. Anyways, it will be an awesome trip
and your going to have a great time!!!

                                                           Bowen Island

P.S. I assume your aware of the reservation situation?
