[Paddlewise] Paddlewise Get Together

Hey, guys, don't forget this country has THREE coasts.  Those of us on the
third coast have great opportunities and easy-to-get-to airports.  I'm
referring to Houston Hobby and Houston Intercontinental airports;  and the
Gulf of Mexico.





Houston Canoe Club hosts the Southwestern Canoe Rendezvous in October.  It's
in a state park (Huntsville), lots of dealer demos and clinics.  Despite the
name, kayaks are well represented.  Unfortunately it's about 150 miles inland,
on a lake whose perimeter is about 4.5 miles.  Oops, may conflict with a
professional meeting so better be careful about dates - so far unannouced for
Rendezvous 2000.  My professional meeting just happens to be in Vancouver BC
so you know what I want to do when the meetings are out.





NYC would be a nice starting point.  Consider a Gulf coast option for later
on...
