And bearded, 'cause so many of us are chronologically challenged. <g> > [snip] One of the simplest approaches is a button in a bright color with > the logo on it. Patches are also good. With computerized sewing they are easy. My paddling partner of yore is just now exiting the sewing machine business, and has contacts with several folks who can morph a design onto cloth. Stitched designs are durable and classy. (Used to have a pink flamingo on my hat, but the wind took it in Skincuttle Inlet two years ago. I am about the most "anti-organized group" person any of you is likely to know. Even so, I would wear proudly the Paddlewise patch/badge/whatever. This group embodies almost all the good things about paddling and almost none of the undesirable things. Ralph hits the nail on the head with the comments about "good advice" and encouraging "intelligent decisions." It is the no-holds-barred ethic which nourishes the culture here. I love watching Broze and Winters bat each other about, and often hoot loudly when I read Doug Lloyd's stuff! -- Dave Kruger Astoria, OR early Paddlewiser, soon to be a geezer (Paddlegeezer?) *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Wed Feb 09 2000 - 07:51:47 PST
