[Paddlewise] Risk Homeostasis?

I like Mark's thoughts on this. I see it now - continuing experience with 
Paddlewise does not really decrease the risk of posting to the group. It only 
decreases one's *perceived* risk of posting, leading to increasingly risky 
posts....

Who broke his snowblower this morning, and will therefore be in much better 
physical shape for kayak races this spring (as a result of shoveling out his 
40 yard driveway for the rest of the winter)....pulse rate of 162 after 
shoveling for 45 minutes.
