I really wish the CD Extreme had a retractable skeg option. It is a perfect boat for this feature. The rudder system hasn't given us any such problems but basically is a PITA. Congrads on the whale sightings =:-o) Have you tried a Snapdragon backstrap on the Caribou? Just a thought.
