Doug, I and another friend both sent one back but both of us have been happy with the second one. I like the all-button operation so you don't have to try to manipulate knobs inside a waterproof radio case. That is right, I put the waterproof radio in a waterproof radio case because it is not submersible. I decided this would be a great way to save about $100 on a truly submersible unit. Problem is, I wore out the clip on the bottom of the bag despite leaving the radio alone most of the time and now I am on my second $25 case--perhaps not such a great investment after all.
