This is easy to do. Get a stud-finder (hardware store item -- or borrow from a
carpenter friend) and locate the stud pattern (usually 16-inch centers). Pick
a stud location for a screweye. With a **small** finishing nail, penetrate the
drywall (several times) where you want a screweye so you know where the
**center** of the stud is. Drill hole for screweye. I recommend you use 1/4
inch diameter hardware for the screweye -- will hold your weight if needed!

When you leave the apt, just fill the holes with vinyl spackle (comes premixed)
and blend the surface with a damp sponge. Make a second application and blend
again for deep or larger holes. Go to the hardware store with a scrap of paint
from a section of the apt wall that is unobtrusive. They have computer
color-matching setups there which will make a **perfect** match, and you can
get a quart of paint to cover the little vinyl spackle marks.

The landlord will never know. (Mine would not, except he made an inspection.
Good thing he was a sea captain. He said, "Kewl!" when he saw my three sea
kayaks hanging from the ceiling and walls. The property manager, who was along
on the inspection visit, was apoplectic!)
