[Paddlewise] woodburning stoves and fuel

I've got a Sierra Zip stove and I love it -- so nice to have a quiet stove
instead of a jet aircraft engine to cook on.

Don't underestimate the volume of fuel you need to actually cook anything
with it, though. This stove would "zip" through a bag of tongue depressors
very quickly (though I suspect that they would burn very well). So far, I
have always been able to find local fuel.

I am thinking of some above tree-line camping this summer, though, and am
curious whether anyone has had any success packing in solid fuel for these
stoves. One idea is to use the "Stove chow" pellets that you can buy in
some hardware stores, that are meant to fuel wood stove substitutes.

Anybody tried this?
