Most manufacturers will sell you a kit for +- $20.>> I have a Viking paddle made locally by a fellow who is really a ww paddle maker but wanted to get into touring paddles so he was putting demo paddles into people's hands just to get them seen. When I picked up my paddle from him he had made it feathered. As I usually paddle Greenland the feathered paddle was too much and so I watched as he cut it appart for a take appart and then drill a hole and insert the gizmos that hold the pieces together. It looked easy to glue in the sleeve and insert the clip piece at the right place. I've never tried it but I don't think it would be very hard.
