I've seen advertised (but have no experience with) a Swiss made tool =
called the "Brunton Sherpa" combining barometer/altimeter, clock, =
thermometer and windspeed indicator for ~ 160$ US.  It's small, floats =
and is "water resistant".  Were it waterproof (as indeed it may be but =
the company doesn't claim it) it'd be an awesome little tool.  It can be =
