Steve - I use a bendshaft paddle (Double Dutch) for now three years (65°
left). Although I had two or three other paddles in the meantime (Kober
Marathon - very light design- and a Lettmann Ego), the Double Dutch stayed my
favourite. It helps me keeping stress on my wrists low (perhaps cause of my
obsolete paddling style?) and - as I feel it - takes less gas per mile. One
thing to remember is to check the length on site in your boat, since ergos
need less length than a conventional one. Another thing - as for me. Once I
started using the ergo I was sort of spoiled for the use of conventional
paddles. - Have a try, mybe you´ll be convinced that they are worth the extra
buck.

My two cents, Frank
