On my last trip to the Target store I found a less expensive replacement for
the 2L platypus flexible container. It is made by TFO Inc.
http://www.tfoinc.com/tfo5.shtml ) and is called the FlexiFlask. At $3.99
it is considerably less expensive than the platypus 2L equivalent. For
example REI
(http://www.rei.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=30070&prmenbr=
8000) is charging $6.00 for the platypus. The screw on fittings are
identical, only the bottle shape is a bit different. If you need to stock up
for a long trip the total saving can be quite a bit. (PS I have no
association with TFO)
