[Paddlewise] Yakima Mako Saddles

Thanks for all the new seat advice. Now I have another question. I bought
the Mako Saddles for my Yakima rack at the Paddlesports show last weekend. I
have a squarish hulled boat (Chesapeake LT17) and told the Yakima guy that.
I thought it didn't seem like the saddles would hold the boat securely. I
installed them and put the boat on and the boat is way too loose. Did I do
something wrong or do those saddles only work with rounded hulled kayaks?
I'm thinking I should just go back to my foam pads and straps set-up.
